Chilli Cookery Course Outline
The chilli cookery courses begin at 10.30am with a brief talk about handling chillies comfortably, followed by a look at the different chilli peppers available.
Plenty of practical cookery soon begins in earnest. Lunch is eaten in stages from around 1pm and the day concludes at around 3-3.30pm with chilli-spiked desserts.
The day is not all blistering hot - we use a range of chilli varieties with different heat levels throughout the cookery courses. The menus are designed to include a range of dishes that showcase the different chillies and give you ideas. For information on recipes covered see Menu Update
Useful tips on storage of chillies alongside suggestions for using them in other ways are incorporated within the day. Background information about where to find out more and the best way to obtain supplies of fresh and dried chillies from UK producers is also supplied.
What is included?
All equipment, aprons and produce are provided. Lunch is also included. Most of the washing up and weighing up is done for you so the maximum time available is spent on cooking and eating!
The course aim is to leave you inspired and confident about using a variety of chillies in your cooking at home. A recipe pack will also be yours to take away at the end of the day.
